Ink wells...

I recently recieved a huge shipment of antique glass inkwells...all different colors and shapes, plus five Carters Ink wells with the rust lids intact.  Then, today I recieved a shipment of over 50 handwritten letters and documents from the late 1800's and other paper ephemera to make my ink bottle viginettes....they will be soooo cool looking!!!!  Now I have to sit down and make my quill feathers with the pen nibs....Anyone looking to order them let me know.

"Just a Note..."

"just a note"....3 dimensional viginette for you prim table or desk. An ink bottle (empty) sits atop vintage papers, photos, and postcards along with a quill pen. The bottle is attached to the papers for easy movement, pen is free standing so you can place it in the bottle if you would like.

Its Give Away Time....

It's Feburary and time to do a give away again.  A name will be randomly chosen later this month to recieve one of my personalized bottles, "Celebrate You".  The outside of the bottle has your name, a vintage image and some antique 'bling'.  The cap is removable to reveal strips of paper with the meaning, origin,etc. of your name.  The drawing will be later this month and drawn from those that leave comments.  You can enter (comment) more than once to increase your chances of winning!!!  Bottle shown is sample...it is my mothers bottle.

Letters Written

Another addition to my etsy site.  This bottle focuses on the dead art of lettering writing.  The bottle is embellished with a vintage letter, cancellation stamps, postage stamps.  Hanging from the chain is photo of her beloved to whom she is writing to, vintage pen nibs, an old pencil, vintage buttons and beads.

"Down on the farm"....

Latest creation....three vintage style bottles in an aged carrier.  Each bottle has a vintage image of a child on the farm, mounted on antique-looking papers with paper lace around the bands.  The bottles are embellished with old trinkets, keys and a tea-stained label stamped "Down on the Farm".  This will be posted on my etsy site.

Just a quick note...

Went last month with my dearest friend for a well-deserved girls weekend getaway.  Stayed at a B & B in Sydney, Ohio that is a castle, called GreatStone Castle!!!  It was wonderful.  We spent three days antiquing and I got some real finds to repurpose....nothing is safe around me!  The tea pot I posted a few days ago was one of those treasures, bought it at a wonderful shop that all proceeds go towards Miami County Hospice....got arm loads of goodies there!!!   We came home with my vehicle filled to the rafters....woooohoooo..... You will just have to wait and see what I do with it all.....in my mind they are already completed.....

Vintage Silver Tea Pot

I just finished this silver collaged tea pot.  I purchased it at quaint little shop in Wapak,  and I knew that I wanted to embellish it with a vintage image of beautiful young lady and vintage tea labels.  I added the image of the antique letter to the background, dated from the turn of the century.  I also added vintage bling in the form of rhinestones, pearls, jewelry embellishments and antique lace.  It is posted on my etsy site.
